Description

All 3 SA cranes are threatened with extinction due to a range of negative interactions with humans. The Hlatikulu Crane & Wetland Sanctuary works at managing these populations by captive breeding, rescue, rehabilitation and education. The Sanctuary is also home to Entabeni Education Centre and Entabeni Horse Trails, details of which can be found on the Kamberg Tourism home site.

Directions

From Nottingham Road in the KZN midlands, turn towards Rosetta on the R103, then take the Kamberg Road towards Giant's Castle for 35km, the Sanctuary is signposted on the left.
